Position Title
PROGRAM MANAGER Australia – Australian Capital Territory Alice Springs
Job Summary
Supervise and manage program activities in multiple disciplines covering technical and/or non-technical areas. Such areas include engineering design, development, testing, implementation, operation and maintenance of diverse integrated electronic and mechanical systems; operations research; asset management, and program documentation. Essential Responsibilities: + Supervise, coach and lead work teams in the accomplishment of goals and tasks in support of specific programs. + Perform and supervise multi-disciplinary technical and/or non-technical tasks for applicable programs. + Interface with customers to determine specific needs and requirements. + Develop detailed staffing requirements, assignments and plans to meet customer needs. + Estimate personnel needs and schedule and assign work to meet completion dates. + Coordinate the investigation and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other personnel. + Perform management level customer interface, including responsibility for contractual deliverables, development of responses to the Requests for Quotes and overall task execution. + Develop required technical and management documentation in support of customer technical and programmatic reviews. + Identify, research and recommend innovative process improvements that will reduce costs and provide tangible improvements in customer service. + Reduce operational redundancies and inefficiencies where practicable. + Serve as a liaison with other managers to direct resources for contractual obligations, to solve any management, technical or administrative problems that arise during the program, and to ensure program objectives are met. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Minimum Requirements
+ Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience managing programs/projects of similar size, scope and complexity + Knowledge of process improvement models + Experience providing high quality customer service + Experience building and sustaining high performing integrated teams + Familiarity with the Intelligence Community culture + Experience supporting 24X7 operational environments + Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage cost, schedule, scope, risk, deliverables and related metrics + Industry recognized Program Manager certification, or equivalent + Knowledge of USG exercise or crisis management policies and experience planning, coordinating, and delivering support to special events + Previous experience supporting an Intelligence Community facility of at least 4,000 + people + Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes); experience with MAXIMO is desirable; basic understanding and familiarization with: AutoCAD; Construction Management; Building Operations and Management; Project Management, related to facilities operations; knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, maintenance, (i.e., carpentry, painting, masonry) and other general trades + TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required
