For further Applicant’s Meritinformation: click hereSpecial Measures Not applicable to this vacancy.Apply Online Link https://jobs.nt.gov.au/Home/Application?rtfId=120269 Primary Objective: Provide leadership, strategic direction and overall program management to optimise the implementation and advancement of the Electronic Monitoring and Sentencing Initiatives (EMSI) Program across the Territory.Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develop effective collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective engagement in achieving program outcomes at Regional and Territory wide levels. 2. Manage the financial, human resources and administrative functions of the program to ensure compliance with NTPS legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.3. Provide leadership, advice and support for staff engaged in the design, development and implementation of the Electronic Monitoring and Sentencing Initiatives Program to provide evidence based options for offenders.4. Identify, prepare and present ministerial, cabinet and other high level written documents and reports. 5. Respond in an appropriate and timely manner to issues regarding Electronic Monitoring and Sentencing Initiatives Program and related projects.6. Manage monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the program at the regional and Territory wide levels to support sound decision making.7. Identify and manage program and project risks, including developing, implementing and monitoring risk mitigation strategies, to ensure outcomes are achieved within the required timeframes.Selection Criteria: Essential 1. Extensive experience in leading and managing program and project teams and change agendas in a social, public or justice policy/program environment.2. Excellent working knowledge of financial management, budgetary processes, human resource management and procurement. 3. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective networks and collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Indigenous, non-government and Government organisations.4. Working knowledge of change management tools and techniques and an ability to affect sustained changes to policies, processes and practices at a service delivery level. 5. Well-developed negotiation and collaboration skills and highly effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interpret and manage cross cultural, political and organisational environments.6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work effectively within a team to achieve high level results and meet deadlines within tight time constraints and in a politically sensitive environment.7. Extensive working knowledge and a thorough understanding of government policies and Parliamentary procedures, processes, guidelines and protocols for the preparation of Ministerial briefings and high level Cabinet submissions, briefings and complex reports.8. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.Further Information: The Department of Attorney-General and Justice (Correctional Services Division) has a Smoke Free Policy.
