For further information: click hereSpecial Measures Not applicable to this vacancy.Apply Online Link Primary Objective: Under the direction of the General Manager, achieve the Corporation’s strategic objectives through the provision of specialist technical advice to the Corporation’s Project Directors and estate management team, engineering review of studies by the Corporation’s service providers, assistance to the Corporation’s Project Directors on project feasibility and engineering study scope development, development of process improvement systems within the Corporation and providing innovative ideas and solutions across all phases of the Corporation’s development projects.Context Statement: The Land Development Corporation is a NT Government business responsible for delivering strategic land across the Territory.Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide expert technical, engineering and operational advice and recommendations regarding the planning, feasibility and design of infrastructure construction for land development projects.2. Interpretation of technical papers and reports and design documents for the consideration of Project Directors and General management.3. Conduct reviews of project-specific proposals, programs and plans to assist Project Directors and management in decision-making process.4. Ensure the Corporation’s policies, procedures and the NT legislative, environmental and construction standards are maintained.5. Coordinate and undertake on-site assessments with external providers to scope requirements for infrastructure planning design and construction, and provide relevant technical and/or engineering advice.6. Sit on tender assessment panels and provide technical, engineering, land development strategy, and authority requirement insights into individual tenders where applicable.7. Effectively interact with a range of key external stakeholders including service authorities, developers, contractors, Government agencies and consultants.8. Overall management and coordination of the Corporations Governance Framework.Selection Criteria: Essential1. High level knowledge of civil Infrastructure design, construction techniques and programming, Capital Works and Minor New Works processes and Occupational and Work Health and Safety.2. Proven experience, at a management level in a land development or infrastructure environment, in planning major strategic land or infrastructure construction programs or projects.3. Effective project management skills and a proven ability to plan and manage available resources to consistently deliver high quality outcomes in an environment of change and competing demands.4. High level of oral and written communication skills including an ability to; produce high level written business and technical reports, interact effectively with people of diverse cultures, strong negotiation and conflict management skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with public and private sector partners, stakeholders and investors. 5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of relevant legislation, codes, standards and practices associated with land subdivision, building development and maintenance.Desirable:1. Tertiary or post-graduate qualification a relevant discipline (i.e. Civil and/or structural Engineering).2.
